One of PMMI’s goals has, and will always be, speedy delivery. In one project taken on by the team involved manufacturing custom elbows for accident victims. Due to the emergency nature of the order, PMMI had to be able to manufacture the custom implants, along with the specialized instruments for the surgeries, within a 48 to 50-hour window. As if that wasn’t enough pressure for any engineer, the jobs were further complicated because the team would have very little information, especially in way of drawings or specifications. The custom orders would also be used for cancer patients.
